Job Description
The Marketing & Content Manager is responsible for supporting and executing marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels to enhance brand visibility and engagement. This role will manage relationships with an external social media agency and a digital media partner to develop compelling content, drive strategic marketing campaigns, and ensure brand consistency across platforms.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will manage some vendor relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Contribute to integrated marketing campaigns that support company goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, and community engagement.
- Assist in digital marketing efforts, including website updates, email marketing, automation, online advertising, and SEO strategies.
- Support traditional marketing initiatives, including print, direct mail, local advertising, and event promotions.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing reports and data-driven optimizations based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with company objectives.
Content Management & Development
- Oversee the development of video content, ensuring high-quality messaging and brand consistency.
- Manage relationships with external content creators, videographers, and agencies to produce marketing materials, including video, graphics, and written content.
- Maintain and optimize website content within the WordPress content management system (CMS), supporting conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
- Manage content for Google Business Profiles and local listings to enhance community visibility and SEO performance.
- Repurpose existing marketing assets into various engaging content formats, such as videos, infographics, and case studies, to maximize impact across platforms.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Oversee social media strategy to ensure alignment with broader marketing objectives.
- Manage the external social media agency responsible for posting and community engagement on SRG community pages.
- Develop, post, and monitor content for SRG corporate pages.
- Collaborate with community teams to curate and develop community-specific content for the social media agency.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across marketing channels.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Present marketing performance reports to leadership and stakeholders, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to execute marketing campaigns effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights to optimize marketing performance.
- Experience managing vendor and agency relationships to execute marketing strategies.
- Ability to travel locally and overnight as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 3 years of marketing experience, with a focus on digital marketing, traditional media, and content strategy.
- Proficiency in CMS tools (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML/CSS for website updates. Also proficient in graphic design tools such as InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience managing social media strategy and agency relationships, with familiarity with platforms like Sprout Social.
- Strong background in analytics and optimization using tools such as Google Analytics, Looker Studio, HubSpot, and SEMrush.
- Experience in senior living, hospitality, or lifestyle brands is a plus.
