What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications position at Senior Resource Group?
Reporting to the President and CEO, and in collaboration with the executive leadership team, you will strengthen the company’s market position and emphasize the value propositions for all uniquely branded SRG senior living communities to achieve or exceed desired business and resident occupancy goals.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining marketing strategies that increase awareness of SRG senior living communities and manage internal and external messaging including public relations, media relations, and community relations communications.
This position will work in the Solana Beach, CA corporate office Monday through Friday. The anticipated annual pay range is $160,000 - $190,000. The employment offer is dependent on candidate’s experience, skills, education, professional background, and overall qualifications.

- Develops and drives implementation of differentiated and impactful marketing strategies/ plans, materials, media across all channels and related promotions and events to meet business objectives within established budgetary parameters.
- Develop marketing plans and annual budgets for all existing and new development projects that meet business objectives and drive customer leads.
- Build, manage and coach a high-performing marketing team including in-house team and third-party vendors to achieve marketing goals while maintaining maximum efficiency.
- Directs tracking of marketing KPIs and conversion rates across all channels and provides analysis, and interpretation of community data and reports, market research collection, and competitor comparisons.
- Works closely with the sales department to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Maintains brand standards and ensures compliance across all marketing and communications channels.
- Coordinates the design, production and delivery of all marketing materials while maintaining the design and branding standards established by SRG.
- Strategizes and coordinates the placement of all SRG community display advertising, media plans and online channels.
- Strategizes and coordinates the development of the SRG website and all on-line marketing and social media initiatives and advertising.
- Routinely reviews effectiveness of all SRG community marketing campaigns with on-site personnel (Executive Director (ED) and sales staff) and appropriate corporate staff.
- Routinely review lead management data to determine effectiveness of specific marketing activities.
- Develops strategy and directs the planning and coordination of SRG community events and promotions.
- Oversees coordination of all SRG community groundbreaking and grand opening special events and promotions.
- Strategizes and coordinates public relation opportunities for corporate and communities.
- Coordinates with other corporate departments to assist and support SRG corporate initiatives.
- Review all corporate marketing invoices and corporate-placed community marketing invoices
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field of study.
- Proven work experience as a Director of Marketing and Communications or another senior role.
- Demonstrable experience as marketing and communications leader in hospitality, real estate and/or health care industry; experience working with seniors preferred.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Google Ads.
- Experience with CRM software, and digital marketing tools and techniques.
