Senior Rx Care of Nebraska is seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to work Part-Time / Full-Time in a fast-paced closed-door pharmacy dedicated to exceptional customer service. The right candidate will actively participate in and oversee all aspects of workflow to ensure that medications provided to residents are safe, accurate and available in a timely manner in accordance with all state and federal regulations. Essential Job Functions :
- Performs and / or oversees the completion of all routine and tasks, including but not limited to :
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, route of administration, potential drug interactions, special geriatric considerations, warnings / precautions associated with prescribed medication, potential adverse reactions, and stability.
- Suggest therapeutic intervention based on Senior Rx Care Formulary to physician and / or to nursing staff where appropriate.
- Collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality pharmacy services.
- Procures and maintains all required documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as Senior Rx Care policy.
- Ensures accuracy of filled medications.
- Provides Clinical expertise by responding professionally to medication related questions.
- Assists the Director of Pharmacy Operations with instructing, directing, and overseeing pharmacy technicians and staff.
- Follows current guidelines for preparing all compounds, including I.V. therapy.
- Understand and follow Policy and Procedures.
