Wage: New hires start at $18.46 per hour. This position is a Step 2 of the internal salary schedule which has a range of $18.46-26.15/hour. Opportunity for wage increase is based on passing the annual review, satisfactory job performance, availability of budgetary funds, and market factors.
Benefits: For regular employees working 20 or more hours per week:

Paid vacation: Accrued proportional to hours worked and based on seniority, i.e., 1–2-year employee working 40 hours/week will accrue approximately 8 hours per month.

Senior Services for South Sound is looking for a Program Coordinator in our Transportation Program for 25 hours per week who will help oversee all aspects of the program. What you will be doing:
We’re looking for a Program Coordinator working 25 hours a week to help drive the Transportation Program by assisting the Program Manager on the overall operation of the program, including scheduling client rides, coordinating support from volunteer drivers, and supporting the program manager in ensuring the organization vehicles are in good working order and meeting reporting requirements.
Key outcomes:
The Program Coordinator:
- Coordinates ride requests from clients and assigns volunteer drivers.
- Assists in the completion of reports for the ED, Board of Directors, and Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging (LMTAAA).
- Responds to requests for information from LMTAAA in the absence of the program manager.
- Maintains all program records.
- Maintains individual essential errand trip records.
- Completes program outreach and encourages financial support from both clients and potential donors.
- Assures good communication with staff, vehicle repair facilities, and program subcontractors at Catholic Community Services.
- Participates in all staff meetings and performs other duties as needed.
What you will bring:
- High school diploma and 1 year of experience with management of staff or volunteers.
- Must possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
- KSAs: knowledge of special needs of frail elderly, ability to function as a team member; ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing; and ability to coordinate a team of volunteers.
Preferred:
Applicants who also possess the following may receive additional consideration from the hiring manager:
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- CDL certification.
- 3 or more years of experience managing staff or volunteers.
