Job Description

Project Name: Daily Bread

Position Title: Kitchen Assistant

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in food preparation
• Clean and wash equipment as needed
• Clean floors as needed
• Help serve food and prepare home-delivered meals
• Help in preparing bulk containers of food for rural sites
• Comply with food sanitation requirements
• Assist participants as needed
• Assist with Activities as needed
• Assist the Kitchen Manager as needed
• Substitute meal driver – as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Required: Knowledge of food preparation and health codes

Ability to obtain Food Sanitation Certificate

Knowledge of commercial kitchen and serving equipment

Ability to get along with older people

Ability to lift

Valid Driver’s License

Responsible to: Daily Bread Kitchen Manager and Director of Nutrition

Hours: 30 hours/week: Monday – Friday, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Daily Bread
