SENIOR STAR IS SEEKING A DINING ROOM LEAD
FULL-TIME
SUNDAY-THURSDAY 10:30AM - 7:00PM
At Senior Star the Dining Room Lead assists the Food and Beverage Director with operation of the dining rooms in order to ensure a high quality dining experience to Senior Star residents. Ensures the safety of our residents. Responsible, with all other Senior Star employees, for the leasing and marketing success of the community. Conducts business according to Senior Star Living® Mission, Values and Goals.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Oversees the Preparation of the Dining Room for Meals
a. Ensures that all dining room tables are set with all utensils, chinaware, eating silverware, glassware and clean linen
b. Ensures that all condiments are refilled before each meal, including sugar, salt, pepper, creamer and butter
c. Rolls silverware each morning
d. Sets up salad bar
e. Coordinates with the Food and Beverage Director for any special events and needs of residents
2. Oversees the Serving of Meals to Residents
a. Assists residents with coffee, salad bar, soup, dessert and any other service needs
b. Ensures that all residents are being served in a prompt and professional manner
c. Assists where needed, following service guidelines
3. Oversees the Cleaning of the Dining Room after Meals
a. Ensures that the proper sanitized cleaning solution and procedure is being used by employees when cleaning
b. Directs and assists in general dining room sanitation and routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
A Senior Star Dining Room Lead may be given additional duties and responsibilities.
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills
1. Education or training in the Food Service field
2. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills required
3. Ability to motivate and inspire others
4. Ability to work with others and give direction
5. Strong organizational and promotional skills
6. Strong work ethic
7. Knowledge of food preparation and serving, pilferage and portion control
8. Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques and storing systems
9. Professional demeanor
