Part Time Dispatcher, Senior Transportation Connection
Senior Transportation Connection (STC) provides transportation to seniors and adults with mobility challenges throughout Cuyahoga County. We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team of passionate, caring, and quick-on-their-feet employees, who make it possible for our older community to stay in their homes and maintain their independence. Our operations office is located on Cleveland's west side on W. 150th St.

Summary: Arranges schedules for Drivers to ensure client satisfaction with optimal use of resources.
Reports to: Director, Operations

Responsibilities
Answers incoming telephone calls from potential clients and other community members/organizations. Delivers high-quality customer service. Deliver exceptional customer service.
Accurately enters all relevant information into scheduling software system, including trips, cancellations, no shows, and inquiries. Consistently achieves or exceeds established targets, e.g., average call length.
Edits and modifies routes as necessary to optimize schedules and to ensure timely service.
Communicates with Drivers via two-way radio regarding pick-up/drop-off locations, fare rates, need for signatures, and related information.
Act as liaison between Drivers and other departments to address any scheduling or route challenges.
Contacts facilities to verify appointments and ensure client arrivals and departures.
Provides clear and timely responses to inquiries from internal staff and external partners. Forwards complex Driver concerns, client inquiries and social service inquiries to Management as necessary.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in office environment preferred. Minimum one (1) year call center and/or dispatch center experience strongly preferred.
Must communicate effectively on the telephone, and deliver quality customer service.
Must be able to accurately enter and edit information in scheduling software. Experience using Easy Rides or other trip scheduling software highly desirable.
Must demonstrate ability to complete work in a high-paced environment, and adapt to procedural changes as necessary.
Must pass criminal background check, and drug and alcohol screening prior to hire, and random drug and alcohol screening thereafter.
