Summary
We are seeking an Adjustment Specialist to join our team at SeniorDent, Inc. In this role, you will play a vital part of entering, reviewing and processing insurance billing adjustments. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The position is an in-person position and is located in Joliet, IL Monday - Friday.
To perform this job successfully, an in must be able to work independently and efficiently with direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Review and process insurance billing adjustments effeciently.
- Communicate with insurance companies and nursing homes to resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Use of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service - on the phone and in person.
- Collaborate with nursing homes or CSR's to resolve or troubleshoot any discrepancies in patient records or billing issues.
- Work independently while staying connected with your team.
- Maintain and run reports given by upper management through Excel.
- Additional duties as assigned by Member Finance Lead and Management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably with a focus on dental services.
- A typing speed of 50 wpm is required.
- A basic understanding of data collection methods and practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with dental records management and dental terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as excellent attendance for a 40-hour work week as scheduled.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and the ability to prioritize tasks.
