What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Seniors Helping Seniors of Southwestern PA?
This position will represent Seniors Helping Seniors® services in southern Allegheny and northern Washington Counties, and will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and hiring mature, caring, compassionate, dependable, attentive, and dedicated caregivers and companions to ensure our clients receive an exceptional level of care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sourcing and recruiting non-medical home care agency caregivers and companions.
- Actively manage all job postings and respond to applicants in a timely manner.
- Facilitate relationships with local and regional partners to open new avenues of recruitment.
- Attend off-site job fairs and hiring events, and set-up/sponsor events with external partners.
- Regularly host Open House hiring events.
- Manage and maintain applicant tracking within Seniors Helping Seniors® CRM system.
- Collaborate with Seniors Helping Seniors® management and office team to enhance applicant retention and ensure an overall positive candidate experience.
- Interview and assist with the hiring and onboarding of new caregivers and companions.
- Track and ensure caregiver/companion certifications are maintained on an annual basis.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- 3 years of recruiting and/or human resources experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus, preferably in non-medical home care or home health, but not required.
- Intuitive, good listener, strong communicator, solution-oriented, and driven.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Interested in learning, with an eye toward personal improvement.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, self-motivated, and a team player.
- Professionalism when communicating with applicants, references, referral sources, and Seniors Helping Seniors® management, office, and caregiver/companion teams.
- Process-oriented and results-driven.
- Proficient in the use of smartphones, laptops, and CRM systems.
Compensation/Position Type
- Competitive and negotiable compensation.
- Full- or part-time with flexible hours.
- Local travel with remote/home office and in-person work.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
