What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at Senis Management?
This position will be split between two locations:
Apple Tree Assisted Living 565 N 300 W Kaysville UT
Apple Village Assisted Living 2600 E Hobbs View Circle Layton UT
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs
- Upkeep outside grounds, including lawn care, flower bed care, snow removal
- Monitor indoor planters-watering, weeding, fertilizing, insects
- Maintain HOT water temperatures quarterly throughout the building- between 105 and 115-degrees Fahrenheit
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools
- Simple drywall, paint, HVAC and plumbing knowledge - plus but not required
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating and gardening necessary
- Use safety equipment, such as back brace and knee pads when needed
- Have knowledge of facilities polices and procedures
- Complete health screening questionnaire and be free of any communicable disease
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Must be certified in CPR and kept current
- Complete State required Core Competency Training
- Food Handlers permit within 14 days of hire and kept current
- TB test within 14 days of hire
- Follow facility policy on grooming and dress code
- Agree to have a criminal background check done
- Agree to random drug screening
- Understand resident rights policy and comply
