Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery to ensure it functions efficiently and produces high-quality products.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including trouble-shooting minor issues and ensuring machinery is in optimal working condition.
- Assist in the setup of machines for different production tasks, including adjusting settings and calibrating equipment.
- Inspect products for defects and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians to identify and resolve any mechanical or electrical issues with the machinery.
- Ensure the workplace is clean, safe, and organized at all times, adhering to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Maintain accurate production records, including downtime, maintenance activities, and material usage.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and improve manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating machinery in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical skills with the ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments on machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Technical training or certification in machine operation or a related field.
- Experience with metal fabrication and welding is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
