Job Summary : The Material Handler and receiver is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and control of materials throughout the facility. This role involves receiving shipments, verifying inventory, delivering materials to production areas, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler ensures smooth and timely flow of materials to support production processes while adhering to safety standards.

- Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
- Receive shipments, verify packages according to order and invoices and sign paperwork upon receipt.
- Unload packages from incoming trucks and inspecting contents to ensure they are undamaged and hold driver accountable prior to unloading / end of transaction.
- Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified and manage the return of unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory.
- Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
- Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity, placing materials in stock.
- Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Documenting product shipment by recording units shipped and maintaining material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making operator repairs.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
