Overview
Community Development for All People (CD4AP) is seeking a mature, experienced individual for a dynamic position serving children and their families living on the South Side of Columbus. This leadership role influences the lives of children and their families in a unique and holistic way. The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of part-time staff, implementation of the school-based after-school program, and relationship management of key stakeholders in the school and community.
This full-time, 40 hours per week position ranges in compensation from $40K and is benefits eligible. The Youth Development Site Coordinator is responsible for leading day-to-day after-school program efforts from 2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday and summer operations Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The workday takes place in two locations: the office at 946 Parsons Ave and the place of After School and summer programming. Programming is located at either Lincoln Park Elementary (579 E. Markison Ave.) or Siebert Elementary School (385 Reinhard Ave.). Select weekend hours may also be required (prior notice is given when weekend hours are required). This position is a direct report to the Youth Development Director.
Role Responsibilities and Related Tasks:
- Contribute to efforts that ensure the program meets all compliance standards.
- Work with YD Director to establish program calendar and schedule.
- Lead efforts in recruiting, enrolling, and maintaining the program scholar roster at each site.
- Develop and facilitate program components, including but not limited to health and wellness, S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), arts/crafts, F.A.N. (Fitness and Nutrition) Club.
- Manage partnerships with Mid-Ohio Food Collective to ensure daily food service to after-school and Freedom School programs.
- Manage supervision and coaching of all part-time staff, interns, and volunteers.
- Work with YD Director to plan and implement staff meetings and professional development.
- Develop and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with school stakeholders, to include principal, teachers, office staff, and others.
- Develop and maintain positive parent relations and engagement opportunities.
- Establish and maintain consistent communications with program parents and family members.
- Assist with the delivery of ongoing parent workshops, services, and special events.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in child development, elementary education, allied health, or a related field.
- Three (3) years’ experience working with youth in after-school programs (preferred) and/or engaging in community health or another allied health-related field.
- Fluent in Spanish language - preferred.
- Experience in the coordination of staff and/or volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate program goals and outcomes and use outcome data for continuous quality improvement.
- Experience working in a school and/or non-profit setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral, written, and interpersonal).
- Skill in operating computers and other office equipment, and ability to use the MS Office 365, Google Drive, and Calendar.
- CPR/1st Aid certified - preferred.
- Employment contingent upon ability to successfully complete criminal background check.
