We are seeking a Supervisor, Materials Control with strong Supply Chain Management experience, to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.
The Supervisor / Lead Materials Control is responsible for overseeing the inventory control process, ensuring inventory quantity and cost accuracy, and supporting the availability of necessary materials. The role designs and implements process controls at the warehouse, work cell, value stream and plant level with the objective of ensuring quantity, consumption, and cost accuracy at every step. By optimizing the inventory processes, driving process integrity, and coordinating with various departments, the Supervisor / Lead, Materials Control plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of production and operational processes.
Role Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop, implement, and train teams in inventory control systems and processes including the receiving process, material transfers, month-end counts, year-end counts, cycle counts, and an ABC inventory strategy.
- Recommend and make use of software and hardware tools and resources in support of the same.
- Drive and support production cell design and associated workflows from a material control perspective.
- Coordinate with production, sales, and purchasing departments.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and processes.
- Create and manage inventory budgets.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support the resolution of any issues related to material shortages or delays.
- Optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory performance.
Qualification Skills & Experience
Salary Range : $65,000 - $90,000 annual bonus and benefits
This role is an on-site opportunity 5 days per week at our beautiful offices and production facilities in Morrisville, NC.
