Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial settings. The Painter will work with a variety of materials and tools, demonstrating expertise in maintaining and restoring surfaces while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; utilize power tools effectively.
- Perform plastering and caulking as needed to ensure smooth finishes.
- Restore and maintain surfaces through techniques such as masonry work or welding when required.
- Collaborate with team members on remodeling projects to achieve desired outcomes.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial painting or similar roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint quantities.
- Experience with plastering, masonry, caulking, and the use of power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
