Job Description
The Materials Manager oversees the long- and short-range planning of manpower, vendor materials, and resource utilization with the plant inventory, productivity, and customer service over the Valves and Measurement segment of our Duncan Facility.
Responsible for ensuring the on-time deliveries to customers, on-time receipts from vendors, plant productivity as affected by shop scheduling, inventory turns, purchased price variances, and compliance to period cost budget.
The Role:
- Provide vision to long-range plant improvement
- Develop and implement the master production schedule in support of the overall plant business plan
- Responsible for International & domestic logistics
- Responsible for Inventory management
- Ensure processes are aligned with TCC requirements
- Management of Department’s quality and safety programs
- Establishment and guidance of department’s annual goals and objectives
- Actively seek professional growth opportunities within the scope of work
- Identify improvement opportunities & implement LEAN principles
- Implement and monitor KPIs related to production, planning, purchasing & inventory
- Conduct performance reviews and formal performance/career development discussions with direct reports
- Effectively maintain a succession plan to ensure that there is adequate coverage of support within the team. Cross-train where possible
- Built and develop their team
- Developing a staffing plan to manage production demands.
- Provide feedback to Product Line management
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Open to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials, Business, Engineering or related discipline
- 3-5 years experience in purchasing, inventory management, or production control
- Certification of qualifications by APICS (CPIM) and/or PMA (CPM)
- Advanced level understanding of SAP
- Manufacturing experience
