This is accomplished by sourcing and selling electronic components to companies who manufacture electronic equipment and hardware. Our primary goal is to develop close relationships with the individuals at these companies who both purchase electronic components and those who determine what those components should be to drive cost reduction, leverage our global supply chain capabilities, and hold stock to ensure they have what they need when they need it.
As a Business Account Manager your role is pivotal in driving growth for the company by identifying and generating new business opportunities. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and initiating contact with potential clients. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proactive approach to building a robust sales pipeline.
In this role you will be responsible for helping to increase sales by expanding and growing share within a targeted set of new and existing account relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including online research, industry events, and social media.
Identify and develop new sales opportunities by working with buyers and other supply chain professionals.
High activity prospecting to generate leads and build a robust pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.
Utilize relationships within the distribution/rep/supplier community to grow sales and profits within target customers.
- Sales Process:
Ability to follow and execute a proven sales process to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
Develop relationships with key personnel in operations, finance, and supply chain at targeted accounts.
Maintain and promote relationships with customer contacts who may be determining design opportunities and dealing with existing business challenges.
Grow profit and maximize margins by selling value-added, long-term solutions, including the ability to "go wide" within complex organizations.
- Product Knowledge:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of our products/services and effectively communicate their value propositions to potential clients.
- Sales Presentations:
Conduct multiple compelling sales presentations weekly to showcase the benefits of our services and solutions.
Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and challenges of prospective clients.
- Sales Metrics and Reporting:
Track and analyze key sales metrics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Utilize CRM software to track and document all client interactions and sales activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and account management within electronic component distribution industry.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Sales Acumen: Understanding of B2B sales processes and the ability to be persistent and persuasive guiding prospects to a desired outcome.
- Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and persist in the face of challenges.
- Sales Acumen: Understanding of B2B sales processes and the ability to articulate complex concepts.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with the sales team and other departments.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- AA or BA preferred but not required.
