Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and manage the integration of our Corporate S&OP process
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control.
- Align planning and logistics objectives with broader company goals and business strategy.
- Conduct market analysis and demand forecasting to anticipate future needs and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the daily operations of logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure that operations meet quality standards, performance metrics, and compliance requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of planning and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales, to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and manage budgets for planning and logistics activities, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement financial controls.
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and business cases to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure optimal terms and performance.
- Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance, delivery, or quality.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to drive decision-making and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and innovations, incorporating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
- Oversee the implementation of new systems or tools to enhance planning and logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to protect employees and assets.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, operational inefficiencies, or other factors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Proven experience in strategic planning, process optimization, and team leadership.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics and ERP software (i.e. Oracle), and familiarity with emerging technologies.
