Role Summary

We are seeking qualified candidates for an MOCVD Equipment Maintenance Technician position. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance of semiconductor process (MOCVD) equipments. You will be providing maintenance services including preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance as well as basic repairs of MOCVD machines. You will report to production manager and work with engineering team to minimize downtime and sustain high volume production. The Maintenance Technician will apply skills, experience, and general knowledge of various crafts to safely and efficiently maintain and repair the production as well as facility equipments.

Essential Functions

  • Installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of MOCVD equipments
  • Electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Organize spare parts, tools and materials
  • Maintenance record management
  • Follow SOPs and participate in updating/documenting new procedures
  • Be available for after-hours maintenance issues

  • Quick learner, ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Able to differentiate colors and see small wires/objects

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a related field
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring
  • Experience in machine maintenance >2 years
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Must be willing to complete a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

This is an active role requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

This job is in a manufacturing facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Daily use of handheld tools, power tools, ladders and other machinery required.
