Janitor/Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and functionality within our facilities. This position requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and facilities maintenance, ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained for employees and visitors alike.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
• Conduct facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Ensure all restrooms are stocked, clean, and sanitized regularly.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts throughout the facility.
• Execute floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing surfaces as needed.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks to maintain safety standards in work areas.
• Provide porter services by ensuring common areas are tidy and presentable at all times.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management regarding facility issues.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
• Basic skills in residential painting or minor repair work are advantageous.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively (e.g., floor buffers, vacuums).
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with team members and management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
