Senspex in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, is seeking to hire an Electronic Repair and Installation Technician for our Operations Department!
The Electronic Repair and Installation Technician is responsible providing professional repair and maintenance services to support Senspex products and services, including thermal imaging and video camera systems, electro mechanical switching mechanisms, video processing and environmental sensing devices. This position will also support assembly, installation, and testing of sensor components and systems. This position constructs, maintains, and tests electrical systems and components, uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify electronic parts, and ensures systems and components meet established specifications. In addition, this position will also assist in the review of system designs, and work with internal and external customers on various technical projects and tasks.

What you'll get to do as a Electronic Repair and Installation Technician at Senspex:
- Perform diagnosis, repair, verification, testing, calibration, and highly complex troubleshooting processes relating to the repair of surveillance equipment and thermal imaging cameras.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, communicating with manufacturers, customers, and field representatives as necessary.
- Perform on-site and field service installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electro-optical equipment and thermal imaging cameras.
- Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information on product use and operation. May require preparing training documentation such as a PowerPoint presentation and presenting slide deck in front of a small crowd.
- Contribute to group discussions relating to project solutions resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
The qualifications we require:
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology or other related technical field; or equivalent certifications plus four (4) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience using electronic diagnosis and repair tools such as voltmeter, oscilloscope, ESD control equipment and soldering tools.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electronic assemblies, including motion control, embedded firmware controllers, optical assemblies, and low voltage power systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, test procedures, assembly drawings, bills‐of-material and operation method sheets.
- Knowledge of sensor system component installation, testing, service, and troubleshooting.

- National security clearance: This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs
- Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
