Position Summary
The Extract Technician at SENTA Partners is responsible for preparing and compounding allergen immunotherapy extracts under the guidance of a licensed physician. This role involves maintaining accuracy and compliance with established protocols to ensure the safe and effective production of allergen extracts used in patient treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare allergen immunotherapy extracts according to physician orders, following established protocols and safety standards.
- Measure, mix, and compound allergenic extracts with precision and accuracy.
- Properly label and package extracts while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a sterile and organized workspace, adhering to cleanliness and contamination prevention standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of allergen extracts, ensuring timely ordering and replenishment of supplies.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records of all activities, including logs and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including state and federal regulations related to allergen compounding
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the timely preparation and availability of extracts for patient treatments
- Assist with calibrating and maintaining equipment used in the preparation of allergen extracts.
- Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.

- High School graduate or G.E.D equivalent required
- Three (3) years prior experience in a medical practice is preferred
- Knowledge of allergy testing methods, immunotherapy protocols, and related medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
