The Sentara Center for Plastic Surgery is now seeking a business-minded Aesthetic Practice Manager II to help grow our Cosmetic and Retail Medicine business in Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA.
This full-time position, unlike others, is designed to assist in the growth and development of our ever-expanding plastic surgery practices in Hampton Roads.
We are looking for an experienced leader with aesthetics/cosmetic practice leadership.
The Aesthetic or Cosmetic portion of the practice is almost fully driven through patient self-referrals, with services ranging from skin care through surgical care, and thrives on building a repeat customer base to utilize the full range of services.

Job Summary
The Practice Manager II partners with clinical leadership in dyad model to ensure the efficient and effective operations of one or more clinics/practices with 11-24 staff members and/or complexity operations score 2 for hospital or office based specialties. Provides overall supervision of staff and oversight of all aspects of operations including customer service, budget, risk management, and compliance with organizational and ambulatory care policies, regulations, and standards of care. Accountable for personally monitoring and engaging team members and other resources to improve financial performance, quality, patient experience, and team member performance.
This specific position, with oversight of the Center for Plastic Surgery at Sentara Princess Anne location, is primarily focused on growing and supporting this aesthetics/cosmetics program requires a different focus, and set of skills, than a traditional practice manager. Priorities include:
Clinical experience and leadership experience in cosmetic / aesthetic environment preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred.
3 years Supervisory experience is acceptable in lieu of Associate's degree.

- Market intel – network cultivation with competitors and other aesthetic industry experts to stay on top of new services, ability to bundle services, development of competitive edge.
- Social Media and Marketing SME
- Ability to cultivate and maintain business relationships
- Development and Management of Promotional Offerings

- Management of Aesthetics staff (RN Injector, Aesthetician with 2 additional FTEs in pro-forma) – quality oversight as well as access point to new training, products, services
- Sales Expertise – experience and expertise in sales model including ability to train and support clinic staff (front desk staff, surgical schedulers, physicians and APPs)
- Market intel – network cultivation with competitors and other aesthetic industry experts to stay on top of new services, ability to bundle services, development of competitive edge.
