Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA is currently hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for a Full Time, Rotating Shift.

Hours
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in ambulatory setting requiring independent judgment, under the direction of a qualified physician. Proficient in preliminary structural reporting. Performs Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Tech I responsibilities in addition to one of the following: Interventional, DVT, or Hospital Based/Standing ED. Conducts general diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: scanning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of sonography equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. Competent in use and logging of infection control equipment.

- Rotating 3rd Shift Weekends and Holiday Schedule

- Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, related field, or completion of a training program acceptable to their registry board, ARRT or ARDMS (Required)
