Welcome to Sentara's New Graduate Radiography Fast Track application. This placement process is designed for new graduates interested in positions at any Sentara Health Imaging location. It is also suitable for individuals who wish to work as Radiology Assistants while they complete their ARRT accredited program. To be eligible for a Radiology Assistant role, candidates must have completed 2 semesters of their ARRT accredited program. Sentara Health also welcomes LSRT-ARRT New Graduates to apply if interested in joining any of our Velocity Urgent Care centers.
Requirements
- Sentara considers you a new graduate if you are about to graduate or have graduated and have less than one year of practice.
- Qualified students will be attending, graduating or will have graduated from an accredited Radiography / Medical Physics / Imaging etc. program.
- Registry eligible graduate in lieu of American Board of Radiology (ABR) / American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) / American College of Radiology (ACR) / American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) / Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) / Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) etc.

Job Summary
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include : positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy / pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems and preparation of patient room / equipment / medications.
Will consider registry eligible graduates; must be registered within 90 days of hire. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
