Sentara Health Plans Community Care is currently recruiting for a Recovery Associate in Norfolk, VA
The Recovery Associate analyzes, researches and obtains data required to prepare financial adjustments to medical claims expense from overpayments identified, pursued and collected. Performs routine audits of claims paid to verify accuracy of claims expense recorded on SHP financial statements. Responsible for preparing payment adjustments to reduce medical claims expense in accordance with various programs (i.e. MSP, Workers Compensation, Subrogation, National Association of Insurance Companies, Fair Business Practices Act laws established by the Bureau of Insurance, as well as other Federal and State Laws and Regulations).
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of Health Plans Claims Disbursements.
