Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR
- Tech in Surgery TS-C - Certification - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- TS - Trade School Graduate - Surgical Technologist
- Previous Operating Room experience
Job Description:
- Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment.
- May substitute training in operating room procedures from military or vocational training program.
- Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM.
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted.
