Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Laboratory Technician

Sentara Louise Obici Hospital - Suffolk, VA

~Temporary Full Time & Evening Shift~

*May be trained to float to Sentara BelleHarbour (freestanding emergency department)

• Temporary Full Time, 14-week assignment
• Evening Shift
• Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm, Monday-Friday, rotating weekends & holidays
• $48.00/hr (MLS/MT) and $45.00/hr (MLT)
• ASCP or AMT certification required

Minimum Qualifications:

• AMT Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) or ASCP Technologist (MLS)
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science or Medical Laboratory Science OR
• Associates degree in medical technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous blood bank experience

Job Description:

• Performs laboratory tests; interprets results; documents and reports results.
• Maintains department equipment, instruments, and tools.
