What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Sentec?
The Assembly Technician for Accessories performs repetitive workstation, line-assembly and packaging of medical devices. This position is Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm and on-site in Lincoln, RI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reads and understands associated work instructions before starting each task.
- Inspects all parts for cleanliness, defects, and flaws. If flaws exist, notifies the manager.
- Promotes, complies, actively participates, and enforces the importance of quality standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Competencies:
- Mathematical skills needed to count products; reading and comprehension skills.
- Good eye to hand coordination and spatial relationship to review placement of parts.
- Ability to work in a repetitive manner.
- Ability to use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Ability to follow instructions both written and verbal; attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves repetitive motions throughout the day. This position regularly requires standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and bending throughout the day depending on the units being assembled. Regularly lifts and moves up to 40 pounds. Protective suits, masks, eye and ear wear are required for certain tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
