Plant Manager/Cost Manager

The Plant Manager/Cost Manager will serve as a strategic financial leader, partnering with the VP of Finance to oversee the full P&L management for North America operations, including our manufacturing facility in Sandpoint, Idaho. This role will drive financial strategy, cost control, and operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, standard cost management, and inventory valuation, while working cross-functionally to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across all departments.

Full P&L Management & Financial Oversight

• Lead all financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the division, ensuring profitability and cost optimization
• Drive financial performance by providing strategic guidance on revenue growth, cost management, and margin improvement
  
  
  

Standard Cost & Inventory Control

• Oversee the development and maintenance of standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead
• Ensure accurate valuation of inventory and lead initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete stock
• Implement and monitor cost control measures to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  
  
  

Business Strategy & Leadership

• Act as a key financial advisor to the VP of Finance and divisional leadership team
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to align financial strategies with business goals
• Provide financial modeling and insights to support decision-making and long-term planning
  
  
  

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and GAAP
• Lead financial audits, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting
  
  
  

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting

• Own the division's budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate projections and financial insights
• Present monthly financial performance reports, highlighting variances and actionable recommendations
  
  
  

Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial and operational processes, leveraging automation where possible
• Recommend and lead system improvements, including ERP enhancements for cost tracking and reporting
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field is required
• 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or divisional financial leadership
• Experience with full P&L ownership, manufacturing finance, and standard costing required
• Detail-oriented personality with strong analytical skills
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting
• Travel required to our manufacturing facility in Sandpoint, ID (if based in RI office)
