About Us:
Sentido Health (Sentido means “Heartfelt” in Spanish) prides itself in our compassionate understanding of the many obstacles and challenges that confront our fragile patient population and their caregivers. We exist to help these families reduce any stress in the home related to caring for a chronically ill patient in today’s complicated health care environment.
Essential Functions
- Determines insurance eligibility and coverage for a variety of plans and patient-specific situations
- Submits authorization requests to insurance in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicates with patients and families to assess monthly supply needs, along with monthly orders
- Screens patients for nutrition risk per established criteria
- Communicates effectively with physicians and dietitians regarding patient needs and required documentation
- Works directly with staff, patients, insurance companies and referral sources to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients
- Documents communication and action plans thoroughly

Required skills
- Able to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment
- PC literate – Ability to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint & nutrition software - Brightree experience a plus
- Communicate effectively and persuasively to a high volume of people throughout the work day.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
- Responds well to multi-tasking while providing exceptional customer service, support and responsiveness
