Description
ATI is building a world-class software development team and is seeking Computer Science or Software Engineering students for paid internship positions to support our innovative software development, signal processing and artificial intelligence research, product development, and systems integration at our Doylestown, Pennsylvania or Warrenton, Virginia facilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and documented digital signal processing techniques, artificial intelligence and algorithm advances, circuit and system design, and/or Operator-Machine Interface applications to focus on ASW systems and performance improvement.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of acoustic data from U.S. Navy sonobuoys and other sensors.
- Participate in SBIR Research & Development activities, including new business development and customer technologies.
- Develop and deliver effective reports and presentations of progress and direction to business and customer audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one or more of the following is required: Electrical Engineering; Applied Mathematics; Physics; Underwater Acoustics.
- Experience in real-time systems signal processing, artificial intelligence, circuit, and system design & development, including test and integration preferred.
- US citizenship required (to obtain a US security clearance if position becomes permanent).
- Strong written and oral presentation skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently and in a team. Leadership experience a plus.
- Exemplify company's CREED in work ethic and company culture.
- Occasional CONUS travel.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SONAR systems design and underwater acoustics data analysis is a plus.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, GIT, and Agile is a plus.

Physical requirements for this position include the ability to life 25 pounds regularly, the ability to move safely in confined spaces, the ability to wear personal protective gear correctly when needed, the ability to go onsite to company and customer worksites, the ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, the ability to use a computer keyboard, and the ability to see and respond to dangerous situations when needed.
