What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Security Engineer position at Sentinel Offender Services?
Responsibilities :
Sentinel is looking for an Information Security Engineer for one of our clients. In this role, you would be responsible for establishing and executing security program directives, security policy development and enforcement. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand. This is a 6 month hybrid contract position and would be reporting to our client location in Chicago, IL one or two days a week.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field is required
- 5 years experience in information technology field
- Ability to conduct and manage security investigation and forensic analysis for IT security events and incidents.
- Experience with performing vulnerability scans is a must
- Experience with configuring vulnerability scanning hardware and software is required
- Expert understanding of TCP / IP
- Experience with design and manage new and existing security systems
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a can-do attitude
