What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Administrator position at Sentinel Offender Services?
Responsibilities
Sentinel is looking for a System Administrator to assist one of our clients. You’ll be responsible for ensuring system performance, implementing best practices, and driving cloud adoption. This position requires hands-on experience and strong technical expertise to document processes, collaborate with vendors, and lead infrastructure improvements. This is a contract to hire position reporting onsite to our client location in Cicero, IL.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Proficiency in VMware, Wi-Fi management (preferably Aruba), and A / D administration.
- Strong knowledge of Group Policy and cloud integration.
- Experience with PPDM or similar backup management solutions.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of server management in mixed Linux and Windows environments.
- Excellent documentation skills to address process / procedure gaps.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range : Contract Systems Admin $38.00 / hour- $42.00 / hour
