What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Sentinel Properties?
Apartment Maintenance Technician needed for Sentinel Properties located in Roanoke Va. The candidate will be assigned a specific property but may need to help at other properties through out Roanoke. As the Maintenance Technician you will ensure that all upkeep, and repair of grounds and buildings of the property are completed in an efficient manner. You will be responsible for diagnosing problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, appliances, and exterior of structures. You will insure shop is neat and organized, and be responsible for the ordering of supplies needed. Candidate must process an ability to follow a professional maintenance practice, using quality control and following policies/procedures. Our maintenance team is customer service driven which creates a lasting influence on visitors, prospects, and residents

Company will provide larger tools and equipment such as HVAC recovery equipment and charging equipment, power plumbing equipment, and some power tools.
Pay will be based on knowledge and experience
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of all aspects of apartment or house maintenance.
- Ability to get along well with others including tenants and co-workers
- EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification preferred (type II or universal) but not required.
- Willing to be on-call nights and weekends on a rotating schedule
- Valid driver's license and own transportation required.
- Must have own hand tools including drill, and diagnostic tools (I.E. electric and ohms meter).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
