What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cyber Security Analyst position at Sentinel?
Sentinel is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist for one of its clients located in Auburn Hills, MI. We are looking for an inquisitive and motivated cyber security professional looking to learn from a seasoned security team. When not working on security related projects, you will be developing documentation and awareness training for the organization. You will be working with the team to design, develop and implement security solutions for the company’s systems and appliances. Your knowledge and education in infrastructure, security concepts, and best practices will serve you well in this role. This is a long-term contract position located in Auburn Hills, MI.
- Must have bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related IT field or equivalent hands-on experience, training, or certifications
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security , ITIL, or equivalent are a plus
- Working experience with Linux and Windows operating systems experience
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google Security Operations)
- Familiar with ticketing systems and basic case management workflows
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
- A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
