Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our largest clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure across multiple data centers. This role involves ensuring network security, optimizing performance, and supporting senior engineers in managing critical network components. This is a two-year contract opportunity with an onsite requirement in Chicago, IL.
Qualifications
- Must have 7 years of Cisco experience managing medium to large data centers and multi-site environments.
- Must have experience with Nexus switches in medium or large size data centers.
- Must have experience with Cisco ASA Security, site-to-site VPN (IPSEC), and Cisco DNACenter.
- Must have experience configuring/modifying Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, etc.)
- Must have experience interconnecting with networking technologies including HP bladeen closures, VMware/vSphere, F5 application delivery controllers.
- Must have experience with Meraki wireless network including implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with F5 (LTM, ASM, GTM) preferred.
- Experience with Cisco DNA Center, SolarWinds and PRTG preferred.
- Experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN technology
- Advanced knowledge of layer 2/3 concepts and designs
- CCNA required, CCNP preferred.
- Ability to easily communicate with all levels of personnel and management.
- Ability to self-direct, prioritize work assignments, etc.
- Ability to create/update network documentation.
- Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: $86/Hr - $100/Hr
