Join our Sentry Bank Team!
Sentry Bank is looking to hire a full-time Teller who will work at our St. Stephen Branch 3-4 days/week and 1-2 days at our St. Joseph Branch.
Hours in St. Stephen will be between Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4pm. The hours in St. Joseph could be between 7:30am-5:30pm. Will include 1 Saturday morning a month at our St. Joseph Branches. *Saturdays are 1.5x pay!
Summary
Bank tellers are responsible for providing exceptional customer service including efficient transaction processing.
Essential Functions
- Receive checking and saving deposits and withdrawals, verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts
- Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices
- Answer basic customer inquiries regarding account information, while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies
- Issue cashier’s checks
- Accept loan payments, verify payment amount and issue receipts
- Follow all bank policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous banking experience a plus!
- Customer service & cash handling experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to engage customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and resolve issues
- Detail oriented, high degree of accuracy and efficiency
