We are seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team.
Job Summary:
As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for patrolling and securing assigned premises, identifying risks to staff and patrons, and ensuring the overall safety and security of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
Requirements:
- Strong candidates will have their Virginia Armed DCJS License (Training is available if other requirements are met)
- Highly preferred 2 years of armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
- Must be capable of meeting physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- First Aid and CPR/AED certified
