About the Role:
As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing security services to our clients, which includes patrolling and securing assigned premises, identifying risks to staff and patrons, and ensuring the overall safety and security of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
- Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
- Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
- Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
- Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
Requirements:
- Strong candidates will have their Virginia Armed DCJS License (Training is available if other requirements are met)
- Highly preferred 2 years of armed security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
- Must be capable of meeting physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, running, physically restraining a violent person, lifting objects weighing up to 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- First Aid and CPR/AED certified
