Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pumping Unit Technician Foreman to lead a field team in the maintenance, installation, and repair of pumping units in our oil and gas operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive field experience with pumping units, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of pumping unit technicians.
- Lead installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of beam pumping units, including drive systems, gearboxes, and structural components.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards, procedures, and environmental policies.
- Conduct field inspections and audits to ensure work quality and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and operations teams to optimize production and minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on proper procedures and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and parts inventory.
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics of field operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical or petroleum-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with pumping units in oil and gas operations.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with major brands such as Lufkin, Weatherford, or Rotaflex units.
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems and field reporting tools.
