Sentry is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team! Procurement Specialists partner with spend categories to execute procurement actions that support business operations and control costs. As a Procurement Specialist, you will develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and support the creation of procurement strategies.
What You'll Do
As a Procurement Specialist, you will :
- Manage assigned spend categories including maintaining awareness of current and future needs, monitoring milestones, and reviewing contract terms.
- Develop and execute action plans based on the identified sourcing
- strategy, business needs, and improvements to ensure standards are achieved at a competitive rate with minimal risk.
- Execute negotiation of contract terms and conditions to ensure a strong product is provided with optimal savings and minimal risk.
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and cost analysis to become a subject matter expert in assigned categories and translate findings into recommendations for the business.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement changes that achieve business goals.
- Lead the creation of improvement plans when standards can be improved.
- Develop routine sourcing plans and participate in the development of complex sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories to ensure implementation of appropriate procurement approaches and identification of controls to
- manage risk.
