What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Business Compliance Specialist position at Sentry?
The General, a subsidiary of Sentry Insurance, is currently seeking a Senior Business Compliance Specialist to join our team! This position will be responsible for coordination of divisional programs for internal controls for one or more insurance companies. Responds to state compliance requests, provides guidance and monitoring of operational controls including vendor management, regulatory required data calls, consumer complaints, record retention, and overall division quality. This position is responsible for establishing, monitoring and providing oversight or acting as a liaison for compliance programs, processes and department of insurance examinations, as well as making recommendations to leadership on compliance matters that affect the product portfolio, forms, systems, processes and procedures.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Business Compliance Specialist, you will :
- Completes the internal and operational control risk assessment and assist in testing divisional business processes which may include the development and implementation of new products or systems. Monitors and coordinates the execution of test plans.
- Communicates results of internal risk control assessments, process and system testing to department managers and divisional leadership, coordinates with divisional leaders to develop and document any required process remediation plans and any required retesting.
- Assists internal controls business partners and stakeholders when developing and implementing divisional internal control processes and systems. Facilitate integration of internal control programs for a line of business with Corporate Internal Control programs.
- Provides compliance support in the coordination and response communication regarding state market conduct exams, state and federal data calls, state inquiries and surveys.
