What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed School Security Officer position at Senturian One Security?
Seeking licensed armed patrol security officers for current flex and potential full-time openings. Applicants must have an active Texas guard card, CPI Restraint training, CPR/AED card and stop the bleed certification. Shifts will range between 8 to 10 hours depending on assigned campus. Overtime and additional work hours available for other sites. Uniform shirt provided, however candidate must provide own firearm, body armor, duty gear and attire (black tactical style pants, black undershirt and black boots). Applicant must have a working smart phone and provide their own reliable transportation.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under general supervision, the purpose
of this position is to protect and maintain a safe and secure
environment for educators and students, investigate and take appropriate action related to criminal activity occurring on campus, and serve as informal advisor and conflict mediator to students in an effort to keep issues from developing into more serious problems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Investigate and appropriately document allegations of criminal
incidents within the campus per police department policies and
procedures
Monitors crime statistics and works with local police officers, SROs,
school officials, and students to design crime prevention strategies
Establishes and maintains a close partnership with school
administrators in order to provide for a safe school environment
Assist school administrators in emergency crisis planning and
building security measures
