CNC Machine Operator

Objective

The Team Member – Production performs all tasks involved in the production of the company’s products and is responsible for safely producing flawless brake assemblies and drive shafts at line speed. The roles and responsibilities listed are not meant to be all-inclusive.

Responsibilities

This role involves adhering to safety guidelines, maintaining a clean work area, and following all work standards to ensure quality production. The individual is expected to review, learn, and consistently follow Work Standard steps and safety requirements, staying aware at all times while wearing the required personal protective equipment. Additionally, they must follow Q-Point and other manufacturing processes to ensure a defect-free product. The individual is responsible for investigating alarms on the production line and reporting issues to the supervisor. The role also involves removing alarmed parts to the NG table for QC investigation, monitoring for defective products, and handling them according to the "Defective Product Handling Procedure”. Additionally, team members must notify the materials team member or team leader when materials are running low. This role requires cross-training in other departments, working collaboratively with peers and supervisors to improve productivity. They must maintain positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, visitors, and customers while participating in group activities, meetings, and training. _ Essential Functions/Physical Requirements_

The role involves a variety of physical tasks, including constant standing for up to 4 hours to work the production line, occasional walking around the site and equipment, and frequent balancing to navigate the workspace safely. The individual may occasionally stoop, squat, or bend to inspect equipment, and must frequently reach forward, up to 68 inches, to handle parts, use tools, or work with computers. Constant handling, gripping, and feeling are required to assemble parts, use of hand tools, and grip bolts and dust covers, with up to 30 pounds of force. Lifting tasks include occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds for some of position located on the line all other positions will be required lift up to 30 pounds from 12 to 36 inches in most positions.

_ Work Environment_

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member – Production is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration/Nose. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, or temperature fluctuation in areas of the facility.

Required Education/Experience

1. High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: Technical high school or Technical College

2. & Six months recent work experience

Preferred: CNC Lathe, Grinding Machine

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
