Materials Clerk

Status: Fulltime, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm, with flexibility for overtime as needed. 

Location: Savannah, GA 31302

Company Overview:

Seoyon E-Hwa is a leading automotive parts manufacturing company specializing in precision injection molding solutions. Dedicated to innovation and excellence, our primary focus involves offering Tier 1 manufacturing support to the automotive OEM’s. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Materials Clerk to join our manufacturing team.

Position Overview:
The Materials Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate sequencing and management of materials within our manufacturing processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sequence and manage inventory of raw materials and components used in automotive manufacturing.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in reordering materials as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, inventory levels, and discrepancies.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and assist in physical counts.
• Assist in the implementation of inventory management software and systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the materials handling process.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any material-related issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a materials clerk or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
• Prolonged standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
• Capability to operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
