Position Overview : As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tax Specialist and help us manage our tax compliance and planning strategies effectively.
Job Description : The Tax Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related for our manufacturing facility. This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns, and developing tax strategies to optimize our financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Additionally, the Tax Specialist will assist with general accounting duties to support the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, including income, sales, use, property, and payroll taxes.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely submission of all required documentation.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial performance.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
- Assist with tax audits and respond to tax authorities' inquiries.
- Provide tax-related guidance and support to other departments within the company.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax compliance and efficiency.
- Assist with accounting related duties as needed.
