What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Worker position at SEPAC?
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Direct Worker to join our team. In this position, the worker will primarily handle general tasks such as organizing materials, ensuring the quality of products, packing and shipping orders, operating machines used for manufacturing wire installation tools, and specialty drill bits. This position will also involve assisting shop supervisors and contributing to the smooth operation of both warehouse and production processes.
Shop Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Machinery to produce wire installation tools and specialty drill bits, ensuring precise and accurate cuts.
- Operate CNC Lathe and Mill, as well as Tig welding machine.
- Organize inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring safe and efficient use of space.
- Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping according to customer specifications and company guidelines.
- Operate equipment such as drill press, chop saw, and Belt sanders.
- Provide general assistance around the shop
- Help with assembly of products, and parts as required.
- Clean and maintain equipment as directed
- Provide assistance to shop supervisor and co-workers.
- Utilize measuring instruments including tape measures.
Shop Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Aptitude for Manufacturing
- Familiarity with hand tools
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 70 pounds
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a warehouse and shop environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- The work may require standing for extended periods and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
