What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Inspector II position at SEPAC?
Job Overview:
Inspects, tests and/or measures materials, products, installations or other work for conformance to specifications. Discards or rejects products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications. Trains and collaborates with other General Inspectors.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks/pits/incomplete welds
· Assists in maintaining the SEPAC Quality Management System/Ensures product & process compliance on the shop floor
· Compares product with parts list/drawing to ensure completion of assembly
· Conducts and supports the first article process, data collection and documentation, etc.
· Verifies specified dimensions of product/material
· Rejects/documents issues for defective parts
· Tests parts for hardness/plating/surface finish
· Tests parts for structural defects such as leaks/internal cracks
· Tests mechanisms for clearance/freedom of movement
· Maintains the ability to run and operate a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
· Inspects incoming products/materials as needed
· Responsible for calibration/log to track calibration dates
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- 5 years experience in Quality/inspections
- Math Skills/Statistics
- Experience with ISO/QS/TS/AS Management System

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
