Job Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join the sales team for the business development, market expansion and sales growth of Sepax Analytical HPLC Column business and product portfolio in Europe. The Field Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving the sales growth of HPLC analytical product portfolio to achieve quarterly and overall annual sales target established by the company within the designated region, managing and promoting both direct and distributor sales. This role also involves sales activities, customer relationship development, strategic planning, market development, distributor and channel management, as well as fostering collaboration between internal and external stakeholders. Remote based at major city hubs within designated regions in Europe with business travel as required.
Requirements:
- BS or BA in a scientific discipline, such as Chemistry, Biochemistry or Biology
- Minimum 2 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience in the biotech industry, or bench scientist with 2 years of practical lab chromatography HPLC experience.
- Good understanding of analytical characterization products and markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in giving technical seminars and product demonstrations in both English and local languages.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Sales and Customer Relationship Management
- This is a technical sales role responsible for driving sales revenue and growth and developing the business of Sepax brand analytical high performance liquid chromatographic products and services to the biopharmaceutical industry in Europe, to meet or exceed team revenue targets.
- Proactively identifying, qualifying, and prospecting business opportunities, positioning Sepax technologies and capabilities, and directing technical discussions.
- Developing, maintaining, and expanding the client base by identifying accounts with additional contacts. Make sure all biologic accounts in the region are built up in Salesforce by updating sample type/adding contacts of existing accounts and continuously adding new biologic accounts in Salesforce.
- Continue to expand product knowledge and overall industry knowledge. As new marketing strategies and technical specifications are learned, store new information in an organized fashion to utilize in similar situations/clients.
- Developing, executing, and implementing sales strategies. Working in close relationship with sales support functions to coordinate activities, account and contact management, and marketing materials, when appropriate to maximize sales.
- Executing product demonstrations, external technical training, seminars, workshops, promotional activities, and other means as needed, with support from the marketing, sales support, and technical teams.
- Must maintain a customer-centric and results-driven attitude with flexibility to perform all related negotiation tasks when needed. Establish good relationships with customers at various method development points.
- Proficient in analyzing sales data, forecasting trends, and using CRM tools to manage customer relationships.
- Comfortable working with diverse teams and clients across different regions and cultures.
- Uphold above average attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Works well in a team environment; Comfortable working with different internal departments by being the liaison for the customers to meet their needs and concerns.
- Distributor and Customer Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key distributors in major countries.
- Developing and growing key biopharma accounts in major countries.
- Ensure distributors are effectively trained and supported to drive sales in their territories.
- Provide technical guidance, solutions, and sales tools to customers and distributors.
- Conduct monthly communications and quarterly business reviews with major distributors to learn the feedback, address issues if any, and shape the next stage actions.
- Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product development, technology, and corporate teams, to align strategies and achieve shared objectives.
- Communicate regional market insights and feedback to internal stakeholders to shape new applications and product development.
- Work with the technical support group to help solve customer issues. Follow up weekly to provide the best customer service. Ensure the intranet database is updated with all communications.
- Travel and Availability
- Willing and able to travel regionally and internationally (Minimum 25% of the time).
- Must currently reside within commuting distance to an international airport in Europe.
- Possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license and passport.
- Flexible in accommodating different time zones for global communication.
